'Singing Safari' - St. Peter's by the Waterfront, Ipswich.

7.30pm.

"2018 brings the seventh annual Singing Safari concert to Ipswich. We are very excited to be joined for the first time by the Columbines folk trio: "an acoustic folk/Americana trio specialising in original songs and self arranged versions of traditional and lesser known folk songs. They are recognised for their striking use of close harmony singing".

In October 2018 an intrepid bunch of singers will set off from Ipswich on an imaginary Singing Safari to collect songs from all over the world. Their journey ends in Ipswich in November where they will share the songs they've learnt at St. Peter's by the Waterfront.

Tickets: £8 (£3 under 16s).

Supporting Gilmore & Roberts

"Contemporary folk/acoustic duo Gilmore & Roberts combine award-winning songwriting with astounding musicianship and their trademark harmonies to create a powerful wall of sound. Nominated three times at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Katriona Gilmore (fiddle, mandolin) and Jamie Roberts (guitar) met while studying at Leeds College of Music and released their debut album in 2008.
Since then, the duo have toured Canada and mainland Europe, played some of the UK’s biggest acoustic festivals, toured with folk rock legends Fairport Convention and won countless accolades for their genre-spanning work."
